When Lindsey and Dan approached me to not only do their engagement photos, but also their wedding photography, I couldn’t help but get a little bit excited. And for a few reasons… Firstly, this gorgeous couple felt like friends, so welcoming, open and very true to who they are. Secondly, they lived 2 minutes from me, and were getting married in the Northern Beaches at The Boathouse, Shelly Beach (literally 10 minutes down the road).
I adore photographing weddings all over the world, but there is always something special about photographing a wedding on your home turf. The Boathouse Shelly Beach is a stunning venue, literally right at the beaches edge. The food is also amazing! The Boathouse chefs and the collective team ensure fresh modern Australian cuisine, excellent service and an exciting, unique experience for every guest. Guests arrive through the garden and walk up the timber boardwalk to the private event space upstairs, adorned with The Boathouse eclectic interiors and fresh flowers.
