My Seacliff House Wedding

August 13, 2022

Let me start by saying that Seacliff House is an absolutely stunning spot for a wedding! Located just 2 hours from Sydney on the South Coast of New South Wales, Seacliff House has views of the ocean and rolling green hills. We exclusively hired this private property so that not only were we away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney, but everything was in one place. We literally only had to take a few steps between the ceremony, cocktail hour location and reception. We adored this property so much, especially since this stunning south coast wedding venue had accommodation for 24 of our guests. This wedding day turned into a wedding weekend pretty quickly!

Seacliff House is stunning in every way possible. From the views, to the layout of the houses, to the master bedroom in the Farm House which looks over to the ocean, to the large open plan kitchens, the tall ceilings, the large windows bringing in lots of natural light (your photographer will love you for this), to the little touches and details that you’ll find throughout the houses. I have to say, this is the best NSW South Coast wedding venue (and even Australian wedding venue). Bias much?!

James and I stayed together in the Farm House the night before and woke up early to do a yin yoga and meditation class with Karen Emerson while the sun was rising. I could not more highly recommend doing a yoga class the morning of your wedding day. Karen helped us clear our heads, be present, and prepare us to enjoy every moment of our wedding day together. Doing a yoga class before our wedding day was seriously the best thing we did together (besides getting married of course!).

James got ready over at the main house of Seacliff House with his Mum, Dad and his two brothers who were his best men. I’m surprised the pool table didn’t get used by this lot. But then again, I think the reason may have been because my father and uncle would have hogged the damn thing!

Me and my four bridesmaids could be found over at the Farm House where you could hear our old school RnB playing from the other side of the property. We were all having a great time! Hey – if this get’s you into the zone, then do it!

My wedding make up artists (Make Up By Kye) and hair stylist (Chelsea Taylor) were so incredibly talented! I had full trust in them as they created my dream hair and make up on the very first go. I didn’t want to change a thing.

I bought each of my bridesmaids a silk robe from Pleasure State. You also wouldn’t guess it, by our slippers were only $8 from good old Kmart! I also purchased my beautiful wedding day robe and slip from Sleeping With The Enemy.

I wanted to do a dress reveal with my bridesmaids. None of them had seen it and their reactions were absolutely priceless!

NOW LET’S GET MARRIED!

Our two gorgeous nephews were our pageboys and carried the rings down the aisle. The older one was a little shy.

My mother watching on as I’m about to walk down the aisle

My Dad just reminding James that there is a “No return policy” – ha!

We had two awesome celebrants on the day! Kelly Hayes (Ms Matrimony) and my close family friend Sheryl Hyndman. They worked like a winning team together!

And then there was the moment that James misread his vows and told me “he couldn’t wait for me to be his husband”. My below facials and the guests reactions say it all, ha!

After agreeing to be “his husband” (LOL), we were officially married at the stunning Seacliff House!

Our cool little page boys really ran the show!

I had two requests on my wedding day:

1) Get a topless photo of my husband

2) Get a gals pic!

Our amazing videographer and photographer took on board both of my requests, ha! Emma Hampton photographed our day with all images edited by me at Luminous Weddings. Jeff from Zee and Cee was our videographer

It was then time to say bye to our stunning bridal party before we ran off into the sunset for our bride and groom portrait photo on the stunning Seacliff House wedding property

After the gorgeous sunset photography session, we walked back up to our guests who were all getting ready to welcome us into the reception room (The Seacliff House wedding barn). We set this stunning room up the night before with the help of all 20 of our family and friends who were staying on the property with us. Sounds overwhelming, but we seriously had the best time with them all. We shouted them all pizza that night for their hard work.

All hired pieces were from South Coast Party Hire and The Wedding and Event Creators

Our amazing caters at Garnish and the awesome bar team at Henry Clive, kept us and all our guests well fed and hydrated throughout the evening. I must say, that food – MY GOODNESS! And Henry Clive – They seriously bring all the fun vibes!

We danced our way into the wedding reception room to the song “Celebration” by Kool & The Gang.

After smudging the cake all over James’s face, we got straight into our first dance. We chose the same first dance song as James’s parents danced to – “What a wonderful world” by Louis Armstrong.

Ans the rest was history! We danced all night long with 70 of our nearest and dearest
